How do I manage trips?

Once the store and product scope are defined, you can manage trips on the “Configure trips” page, defining rules based on your needs

You can add your own list of allowed trips (thus imposing them to the calculation) and/or you can add some restricted journeys. 

Use the dropdown menus to select the origin and destination stores you want to include in each list. If you skip this step by clicking on “Continue”, you will allow the algorithm to propose as many trips as the optimization requires.

Activate the "empty stock" switch to get rid of all the stock of selected products in a store, you can do so by allowing a trip with that store as origin, "all" as destination.

Note that there is one parameter within the optimization called “Number of trips” which allows you to override the number proposed by the algorithm and set your own.

When used, the algorithm neglects the “Cost per Trip” parameter which constitutes the value threshold for the creation of every additional trip.
