What is the difference between sell-out and sell-through?
These metrics help to measure the success of sales. Below, we will explain the difference between Sell-out and Sell-through.
Sell-out
This is a global company indicator. We calculate this using the units sold divided by units purchased. You can use it to track the evolution of successful sales at product, family, and section level.
In the example, we can see the family of "Shirts" sales for 1 month with 67.8% of sell-out to date.
Sell - through
This is a store indicator calculating the units sold divided by the units received.
In the example, the same family, shirts, but in one store with 71.7% sell-through to date.
