Store Transfers timeline

The store transfer is the last stage of the stock management cycle and deals with moving products between stores to sustain sales when there is product scarcity in the warehouse.

It is associated with moving product from stores with low demand forecast to stores with a higher demand forecast (based on meritocracy).

Store transfer executions are launched to cover expected sales for a given period that we call a "Planning Horizon" calculated from the day the Store transfer scenario is launched. Therefore, transfers should be implemented as soon is practically possible to remain in line with the Planning Horizon.

Planning Horizon has two major periods:

Days in transfer is about getting the product moved to target stores.
Days in store deals with monitoring sales after the implementation. The stores receive the stock and display it, so sales appear again.

The Store Transfer Timeline is as follows
