How many days in advance should I configure a promotion in Nextail before it actually starts?

The general recommendation is to always configure your promotions as soon as you have all necessary information (product and store scopes & dates frame) – even if that means configuring your promotion 3 months before it starts.

However, it’s important to consider two factors when choosing when to create them:

• Planning Horizon: number of days of sale you are covering with your Replenishment
• Lead time: number of days it will take for the stock to get from the warehouse to the store network

If you were using a Planning Horizon of 10 days and the longest Lead Time within the stores included in the scope of the promotion is 5 days, the latest you should configure your promotion in Nextail would be 15 days before it starts.
