Minimum Displays
Let’s see the specifics for Minimum displays behaviour in the Store transfer module.
ℹ️ This only applies to customers working with the new forecast. To activate this functionality, please create a ticket.
The usage of Min displays in Store Transfers context is strongly discouraged as in stock scarcity situations the movements should be following mainly the demand signal + Visual Rules to rebalance correctly the stock between the stores.
What are the Minimum Displays?
Minimum Display is the configuration of a minimum number of units per product size and store location. This parameter is set at SKU/store level, ensuring that a baseline quantity of each product is consistently available to customers.
⚠️Be aware that the minimums set for the Replenishment module are the same ones used for Store transfer.
Min displays behaviour in ST
If this functionality is activated, every ST scenario will read the configured min displays for Replenishment and we will rely on the same logic as Replenishment:
Soft Min Displays
- The algorithm will benefit the movements that helps configured soft min displays are covered.
- This will be added to the rest of constraints considered in the ST movements, demand, leftovers, etc.
Hard Min Displays
- If the hard min display is already covered in the store, that stock will be blocked and not proposed for movement.
- If the hard min display is not covered, then covering it becomes the top priority, above all other store needs.
- If there is not enough stock to cover all hard min displays, then we will prioritize the needs with the demand forecast.
